Terms of Service

By accessing or using Lemat — including our website at lemat.info, mobile application, and all related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Lemat is a faith-based digital platform that connects gospel content creators with mission organizations, churches, and ministry partners across Africa. We provide tools for collaboration, campaign coordination, content distribution, reputation-building, and reward distribution — all in service of spreading the Gospel. Lemat is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is operated by Lemat Technologies.

To use Lemat, you must create an account and verify your identity via phone number and OTP (One-Time Password). You agree to: • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration • Keep your account information current and up to date • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account • Be at least 18 years old to register You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Lemat serves four types of users, each with distinct roles: • Gospel Creators — Content creators who participate in ministry missions, share gospel-centered content, and earn points and rewards for verified participation. • Mission Organizations — Ministry organizations and nonprofits that create campaigns, recruit creators, fund missions, and measure gospel impact. • Churches — Local churches and church networks that equip and mobilize their communities for digital mission. • Partners & Sponsors — Organizations and individuals who resource the movement by funding mission escrow pools and supporting campaigns. Each user type must abide by the obligations specific to their role, as described in the Lemat usage guidelines.

All content created or submitted through Lemat must: • Be consistent with biblical values and sound Christian doctrine • Be respectful, edifying, and appropriate for a faith-based platform • Not contain hate speech, violence, sexual content, or material that demeans any person or group • Not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party • Comply with the content policies of the social media platforms where it is published • Accurately represent the creator's genuine participation and voice We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend accounts that repeatedly fail to meet our standards.

Lemat uses a points-based system to recognize and reward meaningful participation in gospel missions. • Points are earned by completing verified mission tasks (posting content, sharing, engaging, following ministry accounts, and using hashtags) • Points are not currency. They have no monetary value until redeemed through the Platform's official reward system • Rewards include Cash (ETB via Chapa or Telebirr), Airtime, and access to Training courses • All point transactions are recorded in an immutable ledger for transparency and integrity • Lemat reserves the right to modify point values, reward types, and redemption rates with reasonable notice • Points may expire after a period of inactivity, as specified in the app • Fraudulent accumulation of points — including fake engagement, bot usage, or misleading submissions — will result in account suspension and forfeiture of points

You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content through Lemat, you grant Lemat Technologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except where content has already been shared publicly as part of a campaign. Lemat's name, logo, brand marks, and platform design are proprietary to Lemat Technologies and may not be used without prior written permission.

You agree not to: • Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity • Submit fraudulent mission completions or fabricate social media metrics • Use bots, automation, or third-party tools to inflate engagement • Spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages to other users • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Platform • Use Lemat to distribute content that promotes false doctrine, cults, or harmful ideologies • Sell, transfer, or monetize points or rewards outside of the Platform's official systems Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of any accrued points or rewards.

Lemat may suspend or terminate your account at any time for: • Violation of these Terms of Service • Fraudulent activity or abuse of the points and rewards system • Content that violates our guidelines or applicable law • Prolonged inactivity (as defined in the app) • At our discretion, with reasonable notice where possible You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, any unredeemed points may be forfeited. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

Lemat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemat Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of data, loss of points or rewards, or any disruption to your ministry activities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of rewards you have earned through the Platform in the preceding 12 months. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or theological content of missions posted by churches and organizations.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any issues before pursuing legal action.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or platform policies. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by: • Email to the address associated with your account • In-app notification Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
